The Homosassa River in Citrus County, Florida, is a favored winter shelter for migrating herds of manatees.  Many thanks to Barb Cooper for organizing our visit to the Homosassa Riverside Resort to visit, swim with the manatees, eat plates and plates of stone crabs and scallops and stroll through Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park.
