Morocco
Tunisia

For hundreds of centuries Berbers have lived on the coast of North Africa from Egypt to the Atlantic Ocean. Over time, the coastal regions of the continent saw a long parade of invaders and colonists including Phoenicians (who founded Carthage), Greeks , Romans, Vandals and Alans, Byzantines, Arabs, Ottomans, and the French and Spanish. Most if not all of these invaders have left their imprint upon the countries of the modern Berbers.

With Overseas Adventure Travel I visited Marrakesh, Morocco, and many sites in Tunisia. Come share what I found in the kasbah, souk, medina, ribat, mosque, medrassa, harem, ksars, and palmaraie.
