Beijing Craft Factories

China is trying to preserve traditions while plunging head-on into the twenty-first century.  I got the impression that the economy is somewhat like this teapot.  Despite all obstacles hot water is there each day.

This was certainly a hands-on tour.  Martha and I didn't realize after watching the demonstrations we would be called on to show our cloisonné skills.

It pays to pay attention.  The prize was a set of cloisonné chopsticks.
