Terra Cotta Army

One day in 1974 Mr. Yang Zhifa was digging a well and unearthed part of a 2,000 year old clay warrior.  Now his job is to sit in the Terra Cotta Army Museum and autograph books.

There are more than 6,000 life-size figures arranged in battle formations.  Since all were smashed in antiquity, putting them back together is quite a job.

Smashed or whole--they faithfully guard Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi still.
