The Citadel, Hue |

| The Citadel was built by Emperor Gia Long in 1805. It was a fortress, a government center and the Forbidden Imperial City. It is a mixture of Chinese geomancy and French military architecture.
Five of our tour members share the name Nguyen, the last imperial Vietnamese dynasty. Dressed in imperial robes and seated on the thrones Paul and Sylvia looked right at home. |
