Danang, Vietnam

We traveled through beautiful countryside on our bus trip from Hue to Hoian.  After climbing Hai Van Pass we traveled down the coast to Danang.

Danang is one of the most prominent ports in Vietnam. We stopped to visit the Cham Museum in the city.  The Cham Empire existed in Vietnam for about 1,600 years until its downfall in 1832.  We stopped to visit a marble factory near Marble Mountain where I snapped these marbled ducklings.  All along the coast we passed US military facilities, quiet now that war has gone.
