Old Town, Hoian

The Japanese Covered Bridge was built in 1593 by Japanese traders in order to cross the river and trade in the Chinese quarter of town.

We were in Hoian for Lantern Festival and lanterns were everywhere.

We had a quest to buy silk sleeping sacks to take on the overnight train to Laocai.  We visited a silk factory where we saw busy weavers and embroiderers and also busy silk worms.  And yes, we found our silk sleep sacks.
