The Intiwanta pyramid is the highest point in the urban area.  Hiram Bingham named it "the place to which the sun was tied" in the Quechua language.

If you look to the east from in front of the Sacred Rock on a clear day you can see how it echos the shape of Mount Yanantin.

The actual purpose of the mortar stones is still a mystery.
